Reolink Argus 4 Pro Promises Full Color 4K Night Vision

Reolink is fast becoming a name to watch in the smart security camera space and its latest flagship – the Reolink Argus 4 Pro – has a spec-sheet that, in theory, blows the competition out of the water.

A follow up to 2021’s Argus 3 Pro – which earned one of our Recommended badges when we reviewed it – the Argus 4 Pro claims to be the world’s first smart security camera to offer full color vision at night.

There’s a few cameras that offer night vision is technicolor already, such as the Eufy Floodlight Camera E340 and the Arlo Pro 5, but the latest Reolink top dog promises, thanks to its ColorX technology, color visuals in the dark even in low light conditions, with no need for infrared lights or spotlights.

Reolink states that night footage will be as “bright and vivid as the daytime.”

We have the Argus 4 Pro in for review, so we’ll be sure to test whether this statement rings true.

Also on board is an 180-degree wide angle 4K view, using dual lenses to deliver a blindspot-free view.

Connectivity is Wi-Fi 6 so, if you have a modern router or mesh system in place such as the Amazon Eero 6+, then you should be able to stream those wide 4K visuals with no issues.

Reolink offers local storage for its security cameras and the Argus 4 Pro is no different, with microSD (up to 128GB) and Home Hub integration options available.

The Argus 4 Pro is battery powered and IP66 rated for outdoor use and you can even keep the battery going by using one of the brand’s solar panels.

The Reolink Argus 4 Pro is available now, direct from Reolink or on Amazon. It costs $199.99 Stateside and £219.99 in the UK – although those prices have been reduced to $179.99 and £197.99 for launch.
