Dyson V15s Detect Submarine is almost here and it's set to be a game-changer for floors

Dyson has announced the UK availability date of its Dyson V15s Detect Submarine – a first-of-its-kind, all-in-one wet-and-dry cordless vacuum cleaner – marking quite a big leap forward for home cleaning tech.

Available for purchase starting March 6, through Dyson Demo Stores and the company’s website, the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine is designed to offer a multifunctional and efficient cleaning experience with one device able to tackle dust, spills, and stains rather than the need for separate cleaning tools in a vacuum cleaner and a mop. How does the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine work?

The Dyson Submarine wet roller head has been precision-engineered (standard for Dyson products) and it is designed to deliver the precise amount of water for spill and stain removal, along with picking up small dry debris such as food crumbs. You’ll also find a combination of hydration, absorption, and extraction technologies that claim to take hard floor cleaning to new heights without over-saturating.

The Dyson Submarine uses an eight-point hydration system to ensure even water distribution, with eight strategically placed water jets releasing exactly 18ml of water per minute across the full width of the roller so no chance of any puddles on your wonderful parquet.

Meanwhile, the motor-driven microfiber roller removes spills, tough stains, and debris across a total of 110m2, pulling water from the 300ml clean water tank, while a durable plate extracts contaminated water and moves it into the separate, slightly larger 360ml dirty water tank to prevent any dirt or debris transferring back onto the floor and to allow for easy emptying.

Other key features include the Optic Fluffy Cleaner Head, utilizing illuminating dust technology introduced in 2021, and Acoustic Dust Sensing for real-time proof of a deep clean. Both of these features are on the standard Dyson V15 Detect vacuum cleaner and they are excellent in use.

The Hyperdymium motor – also within the V15 Detect – delivers a powerful suction of 240 air watts, while Dyson’s HEPA filtration system claims to captures 99.99 per cent of particles as small as 0.1 microns to leave your home fresh as a daisy.

The Dyson V15s Detect Submarine also comes equipped with a Hair Screw Tool, alongside the Combi tool and Crevice tool, offering a cleaning solution for long hair and pet hair.

The Dyson V15s Detect Submarine cordless vacuum cleaner is priced at $949.99 / £799.99, and as mentioned, will be available from March 6 at Dyson Demo Stores and Dyson online.
